Hi everyone. I have a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT, and we recently had the torque converter replaced because it started to run really rough in drive and most of the time it would stall as soon as it was put into drive. Well, it was diagnosed as a torque converter issue, so we had that replaced at the dealer under our Lifetime Extensed Warranty, and now since they've replaced it, it runs perfectly fine in Drive, but when it's in Park, Neutral, and especially Reverse, it shakes very badly. Have the fault codes read first as the current problem as with the first has nothing to do with a torque converter
more like vacuum leaks , injector problems , low fuel pressures

Sounds like there is a problem with the Torque converter in the transmission or Transmission itself. When you put it in gear it should initially go into neutral but occasionally the transmission will stick part way in gear and partially in neutral putting a load on the motor. It is not enough of a load to get the vehicle moving but it is enough to stall the motor. This could be a simple clutch adjustment in the Automatic clutch to a PCV valve issue to a need to rebuild the whole transmission because of a problem with the control body or transmission pump itself. Sorry for the bad news.

How do you replace the pcv valve on a 2008 dodge

the hose is U-Shaped on the top of the manifold. It runs up and to the back. It had clamps on mine. The hose should be flexible, mine was hard as a rock so I got a new one before starting the job. The front part of the hose pulls up and off, the back towards the firewall, is where the PCV valve is fitted into a grommet and the hose. That is clamped into place. Just loosen up the clamps and PULL that right UP and out. Replace PVC and re-clamp on new HOSE. 15 mins, very easy to do !!

well first you want to make sure the linkage is tight it might say its in drive but on the trans it might not be pushing the lever and or if electronic faulty sensor also check fluid color is it bright reddish if so thats good if its really dark and smells burnt probably somthing internally wrong you may also have clogged trans filter
