2010 Jeep Wrangler unlimited sport extreme shudder at 40 mph- if I press the gas-pedal and get the RPMs to rev, the shudder ceases, only to return once I am back down around 38 mph-41mph.
which engine the 3.6? v6?
that shudder is called MISFIRE.
get a tune up yet, even $1.49 spark plugs?
no its not the trans,
if it dont slip, its not trans, (see RPM races? that is slip or too low gear)
if it shifting to the right gears, its not the trans can you count them?
is the CEL lamp glowing or flashing driving, is yes, that means
scan me now. in fact scanning while it shudders, is like (magic)
why start guessing, do a tuneup,
then scan it.
if its is misfire the PCM will tell you what cylinder misfires.
are your spark plugs 6 years old, if yes, why?
going for 200k miles on them.?
transmission is an automatic and truck is 4x4
Have you had the shift linkage checked?
I looked underneath and didn't find anything obviously wrong ie. drive shaft u joints.
It might be slipping hard to tell with the shaking.
As far as I know the bands have never been adjusted. I dont know if there is a reverse band
I am doing this for my kneighbor woh is 76. This is why I do not know the history of the truck
Didn't find any sign of scraping or damage to linkage, Truck has good clearance. If you hadn't noticed I am new to this forum, so please excuse any foupaus. and I appreciate all help given.
