This is just a routine service reminder, it can be reset by pushing the step button until you see 0 miles to service displayed, then just hold down the reset button.

SOURCE: cant find IAT on 99 jeep grand cherokee laredo...

Intake Air Temperature sensor.

It has to be installed ->BEFORE the throttle body, to sense the density of the air entering the intake manifold, based upon intake manifold temperature.

It provides an input voltage to the PCM, (Powertrain Control Module)
It's a Negative Thermal Coefficient sensor, (NTC. It uses two wires)

Meaning, as intake manifold temperature Increases, resistance in the sensor increases.
(Less voltage)
As the temperature Decreases, resistance in the sensor Decreases. (More voltage)

The PCM then uses this input to calculate the following;
1.Injector-Pulse Width
2.Adjustment of spark timing.

Just thought you might want to know.

Wish I knew what size your engine is.
A. The IAT in the 3.7 Liter engine, is located in the Left side, {Drivers} of Intake Manifold Plenum. (BEFORE the throttle body)

See that plastic 'snorkel' tube, that comes from the air cleaner housing, and goes to an oval shaped aluminum housing? That oval shaped, {On the end}, housing is the Intake Manifold Plenum.

The 4.7 Liter engine has the IAT in the same place.
The 4.0 Liter has the IAT installed INSIDE, the Front of the Intake Manifold Plenum. (Before the throttle body)

The color of the two wires are Brown with a Yellow stripe, (Thick 20 gauge wire), and Black with a Red stripe. (Thinner wire. 18 gauge)

SOURCE: 2006 Jeep Wrangler won't start

First, make sure you can turn the engine by hand. If you can't then the starter can't turn it either. Have someone else turn the key and look for the source of the click...may be a relay. Go over the starting circuit with a volt meter. Check for power at the starter main terminal and then with the key turned to "start" check for power at the trigger terminal on the starter. Check battery voltage and check relay operation.
You have a neutral safety switch on the transmission if its an automatic and a clutch switch if it's a stick. Check them as well. Make sure battery grounding on fender and block are also clean and secure.

06 chevy silverado 1500 LTZ 5.3lt code U0107 Dashboard show "engine power reduced " scan recommend replace Electronic Throttle Body Module. mechanic told me throttle body. This is completely different

I have worked on these and have found that there are issues with the throttle "body". You should be able to get one on ebay for around $80. They have wiring issues inside and get poor connections after warming up and cooling down repeatedly. Hope this helps.

1996 Jeep Grand Cheerokee. Will only start will accelerator pushed and will only keep running if it is pushed. If I let off, it stalls completely.

Could be the idle air control valve or a dirty throttle body.
The computer controls idle speed by how much air enters the throttle body and intake.
You would need to check the throttle body and test the control valve.

Starting in the morning cold is a problem. Jeep

The problem is with the engine management system that controls the idle speed for cold starts and pretty much everything else. In the old days the problem would be the auto choke but as this is a new model its the electonics I'm afraid. You can get this sorted out at a dealer. It should still be under warrenty.
