I just put in a rebuilt engine (3.0L) in my 1988 dodge caravan. The engine light and maintenance required light stays lit. The van will not idle and will stalls at low RPM's. I was told to run the van and the light will go out when the computer "retrains" itself. So far, this has not happened yet, 200 miles later!
Cycle key to on (not start) then off, then on, then off, then back on & leave in on position. Now watch check engine light and it will begin to flash. When it does, it will flash a certain number of times, then pause, then flash some more. Count those flashes and write them down. All numbers will be 2 digits. For example: flash, flash, flash, pause, flash ,flash, flash. will be code 33. Then small pause starts next set of numbers. When you get 5 flashes, pause, 5 more flashes, =55, that means end of message/codes. Do that a couple of times until your sure of the number(s) and get back to me/us and we will be able to help better from the codes.Saves time and money.
SOURCE: engine maintenance required light , stays on

I have tuned it up and replaced o2 sensors also profesionally cleaned the injectors and ran sea foam cleaner thru the intake and all vacum stuff besides egr valve or injectors wut can i do plus do i have to shut off the maintenance required light for the 02 sensors to work right
SOURCE: Dodge ram van stalls when RPM are low
could be fuel filter clogged //fuel pump is going bad which you will need to have a pressure test done ...also is there a gas odor ? could be rusted lines could be air filter ....messing with the timing you should not move to much ...if you have brake /carb choke cleaner try spraying around the intake manifold to see if any change in performance such as lowering the rpm's which would mean a gasket leak are all the Vacuum lines good and not dry-rotted try bending them ans well as spraying with a squirt bottle of water on the plug wires to see if an Arc is present a bad plug wire ..these are a few areas in which i would consider 1st ..hope this helps you
