It cranks. No fuel, no spark. All fuses and relays are good. Brand new fuel pump (I replaced it before I checked for spark) and brand new crank sensor. I checked for spark on 2 different plugs from 2 different coil packs. There's no fuel when the key is turned to the "on" position or when the engine is cranking. Tried starting fluid.

SOURCE: motor cranks but won,t start
hes right check the ignition control module.i had to replace mine because my cavalier would start fine one minute and the next it would be idling rough and backfiring. your best bet is to replace the control module.

SOURCE: 91 Buick Park Ave won't start
i just came across this problem myself the other day. i have a 91 buick park avenue that sometimes won't start. i checked several things out like cable connections and coil pack etc. etc. come to find out it was the wiring that came off the coil pack and connects to the crank sensor. the wiring that ran over top of the water pump had finally heated up so bad the coating on the wires had melted and when the engine got hot enough the wires would come in contact and send false signals to the computer not letting it start. after the car cools down and the wires contract it would start. so check the wires from the coil pack to the crank sensor to make sure the wires are not melted together.

And I don't have a chip in the key.
Fuel filter is only a couple months old and wouldn't stop the spark even if it was clogged. I had the ignition module tested last night and it was good.
Got it going. It was a bad connection in the big wire harness that connects to the wires on the fuel injectors.
