1993 S-10 Blazer runs great then dies at temp

Have a 1993 Blazer has 4.3 L engine with the CMFI system. The engine gets to running temp and dies and will not run till it cools down.Have replaced the ignition module and the TP senser. The fuel pump and fuel pressure are within specs. I have a code 15(coolant temperature senser or circuit fault). Would the senser cause my problem? I'm running in circles. Any Ideas?

If you have Code 15, you need a volt meter or you will run into a wall. You measure the coolant resistor ohms when its cold then measure it when the engine is warm. You also have to measure one side for a 5 volt reference.Or better yet when the vehicle reaches operating temperature and begins to stall take the leads of the coolant temperature and jump it together. This tell the ECM your temperature is 266F. If its stays running and doest stall replace temp sensor

A grenade is a good option . You know it is a fuel problem, you will have to get into the injector system, and see what is wrong. That spider system must have given GM plenty of headaches, which could explain why they quit using it. IIRC, most of the problems had to do with the pot that held fuel and was distributed to injectors by hoses.

Yes my blazer is 4.2 liter. When i start taking off it cuts or sputters whatever its called but it stays running and doesnt die. i replaced the plugs, wires, dis. cap and the rotor. dnt understand why it...

No, your Blazer would be a 4.3 liter.
Check your fuel pressure. TBI would be around 9psi and with some throttle it would move up to about 14. CMFI 55 and 60psi. Do the best you can at giving it gas when checking. If it does not move up from idle then it could be a weak pump, plugged filter, faulty regulator

You may also try taking your ignition module to an Auto Zone and have it tested. Its a free service.

1995 Blazer with Vortec V-6 was running fine until 4 days ago. Check engine light came on, now it starts and idles fine, but when placed in gear, idle drops, engine bogs and dies. I am targeting the Idle...

IAC idler air control valve bumps up the RPM and doesnot let the engine to die, how ever if its not the IAC then Ide be looking at the TEMP sensor which migh have a fair line crack or may be the MAF mass air flow sensor might be bad, seems like the engine is not geting air, check the air filter first.

1996 Blazer w/V-6 Vortec dies at op-temp. will restart. ongoing

I WOULD STILL CHECK THE FUEL PRESSURE.IF ALL IS GOOD.ENGINE GETTING TOO HOT WILL SHUT OFF.ALSO A LEAKING INTAKE GASKET WILL CAUSE STALLING WHEN HOT.

2000 chevy blazer starting issues

swng,
1) Is the service engine soon light ever on when engine is running?
2) Per your description I would look at the ECT sending unit. It sends coolant temperature information the the Engine Control Module for proper fuel delivery for cold engine start. It may have lost its calibration.
Let me know.

93 blazer runs better when check engine light's on

Could be a temp sensor or similar too, and believe it or not, the price to have the vehicle scanned for codes, and fuel pressure tested if necessary, usually ends up being cheaper in the long run, rather than play hit & miss, and replace a bunch of parts by guessing.
