SOURCE: spark plug firing order

check the ignition coil power source...get a test light & check for power with the key on @ the positive side of the coil...if it does have power have a friend crank the engine over & check the negative side for a flashing light..if it does then make sure you have spark @ the coil if not replace the coil

Need the firing order for a 2002 v6 Jetta please. thank you

i have found 2 different firing orders for a v6 1 is the v6 and the firing order is 1-4-3-6-2-5 cyliders are numbered odd 1-3-5 on passenger side and 2-4-6 on drivers side

on the vr6 the cylinders are numbered the same odd on passenger side(1-3-5) and even on drivers side (2-4-6) but the firing order is 1-5-3-6-2-4 hope this helps

I do not know if you have the 2.0L SOHC In-Line 4-Cylinder or the 2.8L DOHC V-6; however I have included both below. The 2.0L has a Distributor Cap and the 2.8L has an Ignition Coil.
