SOURCE: correct serpentine belt for f150 4.6l w/o ac

I looked in the motorcraft parts manual and it only list one belt for 4.6L w/o ac and that is part number JK8-803 8 rib 80 3/8". I looked up a 98 model and it has the same part number and of course a 96 was a 302.

SOURCE: need to bypass ac compressor on a1997 chevy lumina 3.1l

I doubt anyone knows that off the top of their head. You could run a string through the path you want the belt to take and measure how much string it takes. This will give you an approximate length for the belt -- most parts stores could find one close to that size.

When you go to the Auto parts store and get the part. Tell them you don't have AC and install that belt by passing the AC pulley.

SOURCE: heavy squeal when cold and even when engines warm,

Hello. Yes, most likely one or more of the pulleys is bad. Replace one at a time until the problem is solved. J.

SOURCE: ac compressor pulley siezed, wondering

there is a site called monster auto parts. com they sell a bypass pulley that you replace your ac compressor with. it's about 35 dollars, but you may find one. less shipping charges locally where you live at an auto parts store. good luck!

The correct way to do this is to replace the AC Compressor with a bypass pulley. That way the belt and the routing is the same.

1996 f150 a/c

I had the same prob. you cant run your belt the red dashed way if a/c is shot its for less a/c. there are only two solutions not involving buying a new a/c unit. 1- you can run your belt or soft tape through and measure how long you need the new belt to be or 2- drain your freon and pull the shot unit and replace with an a/c bypass pully. there is only 4 bolts not to hard to get to and pull it out from underneath your truck there is ample room. this is the best soultion because i could not find a belt to fit to save my life and the bypass pully is only $39.
