There is a valve that is located between engine and firewall. I fixed it myself with help from benzworld.org. It seems to be a common problem with this model and the new valve has a slightly different part number and is supposed to be better. It took about 1 hr. you have to take a few parts off to get to the valve, but if you can handle basic tools, it should be ok. there are great step by step pics on the benz site. part is about $40 at dealer. good luck!

Hello, What you could have is and ignition problem. I have had to replace many distributor caps (2) and rotor buttons (2) on this model to solve this same problem.
I hope this helps.

SOURCE: My mercedes Benz S280 run rough after i serviced it .

The timing of firing or tuning of the engine is needed with the Distributor to be checked for worn out contact points. As a precaution clean the fuel & air filters too.....sodeep

SOURCE: 2004 e500 mercedes trans problem code-2767 need

Hi,
The code P2767 definition is ,
Transmission input shaft speed sensor?turbine shaft (TSS)sensor B no signal..
Now in English it means the speed sensor is either faulty or bad connection,I would suspect the sensor, but worth getting checked by a transmission specialist,
