Blower motor stays on after turning the ignition off. Also will not run on anything but low if it runs at all.

you need to check / replace the blower speed resistor module that should take care of the problem it is located lower evaporator case right hand side very bottom by the blower motor.

Per your description, I believe you may have a blower fan relay that is stuck closed.
Remove the relay from the under-hood fuse center and see if the fan stops.
If it does stop, put the relay in slowly and see if you here the relay "click" and the fan come back on.
Let me know.

I had the same thing on my 2004 Envoy and it was the blower motor resistor. Dealership wanted $240 to replace and I did it in 20 minutes for about $50. Bought the part at NAPA. I found out by searching on Google how to replace it. Hope this helps.

Hi, if all the fuses checked are o.k, there is a slight of about 2 volts to the blower when put on any settings and 0 volt when engine is turned off, then it is obvious that you have a faulty blower control module that fails to transmit the required voltage to power up the blower.
Like you said, when most blower control module fails, the fan is always running at top speed even when the ignition is turned off likewise the problem you are facing which still has to do with the control module not supplying enough voltage to power up the blower...

Disconnect the module and power the motor direct from the battery and see what happens.-----------The problem is the blower motor control module is shorted. This is a common concern these trucks. The blower control module is located next to the blower motor. It has 2 wires that come out of it and goes to the blower motor, it also has a small wire harness going in to the module. If you unplug this module, the blower will stop. You need to replace this module to repair this issue. The module is plug and play, no programing needed. This module have one plug that goes into the unit and two wires going out of it to the blower motor with two mounting bolts and two silver plates on the othe side of it. ------ click this link below for voltage checking to blower motor controller:--- http://technoanswers.blogspot.com/2011/09/blower-motor-not-running-properly-on.html --------- This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.
