Everytime I fuel my car it won't start, after waiting about 20 minutes it will start what is wrong? 2007 Suzuki xL7 100,000 miles

Just starting happening, it i touch the gas pedal just a little the car will start but being a fuel injection engine I don't think this is good for the car. Sometimes when trying to start it the starter keeps trying to start it on its own and I have to turn the key off. HELP!

You have several issues. The not starting after fill up is an evaporative emissions issue. See the post below. The starter continuing to crank the engine after you release the key is a stuck starter drive

SOURCE: engine quits and won't restart

Sounds like a bad cell(s) in your battery. They will not hold a charge very well if they have been damaged or sometimes at all. Your charging system is probably running the engine most of the time which gives little room for charging the battery, and when it sits the little bit of charge is now just enough or not enough to get you going. If you can, try having the battery load tested (usually free) and also have a mechanic take a look at your alternator while your there. I think your alternator could be dying which is how you got a weak start from the battery if it turns out that the battery is ok.

SOURCE: suski sidekick wont start HELP!

i realise this is way late, but here it is for others' info. couple of clarifications there... first, the 1.6l engine has a belt, the 1.8l has a chain. second, if you have the 1.6, and the belt broke, you probably heard the sound of the valves punching holes in the pistons (more of a clack than a grind). you need to check for a broken belt, then check all the pistons for damage if the belt is broken, as the 1.6l engine is an interference engine. you may be replacing the engine. if it's the 1.8l, check the timing chain, and surrounding components. one of the tensioners may have broken (insert grinding sound here) and that could deffinately cause a no start issue.

1985 toyota 4runner running too lean

Maybe it's not running lean. Maybe it's misfiring. Since you put in new fuel parts and that didn't help, maybe there is an ignition component that fails when it gets hot. A bad coil can do this, also the igniter-rarely, admittedly, but you could have it tested. When it stalls and won't start, if you check for spark and find none, it would confirm an ignition problem.
I hope you find it. Post back and let us know.
