Battery is 2 months old and the starter is new also, car almost died on the way home and then wouldnt start after sitting. I belive its the alternator but would lie to know how to check it before replacing it.
Go to auto-zone if you do not have a voltmeter. they will check it for free. with car running there should be at least13.5- 14 volts at battery or better. take neagative cable off of battery, while its running. if car does not quit its fine, if it does alt. is bad.

if the battery drains dead there is a leak in the wiring some were

have the alternator regulator and diodes tested. sometimes when the regulators fail they allow ac voltage to go to the battery. ac voltage doesn't charge the battery properly (causes it to deep cycle and shortens its life) and causes all sorts of funny problems with the car. also make sure the battery is secured properly, vibration isn't good for them at all.

it is at the rear bottom of engine, points inside the bell housing of the transmission, u will need to jack the car off the ground to see it and get at it for repAIR

grantgga2: I don't think this is one you are going to want to try to change out.
It entails having to remove the left axle and part of the exhaust pipe to gain access to the starter. At that point, you have one bolt which goes in at the bottom from the starter side and bolts to the engine. The other bolt passes through the trans axle housing and bolts into the starter, pulling it up to the engine.
