SOURCE: Change spark plugs

Remove the intake baffle if equipped (5 10mm screws), then remove the coilpacks/wires (10mm bolts), then remove sparkplugs (use 5/8" socket)

They are situated underneath the coils as these are bolted directly on the plugs and there are no high tension leads.

SOURCE: I need to change the

if you have taken the plastic shield off the top of the engine, then you will see ignition coils mounted to the valve cover. the plugs are under the coils. if it is a 4 cylinder then you should see all of them, but if it is a V-6 then three are under the intake plenum. the plenum will need to be removed to change the back three plugs.

Cant find sparkplugs on mitsubshi outlander 2006 4cyl.

Not familar with your engine, but we get a lot of
those questions everyday

The answer is: you either never looked very hard
or have no idea that half of all vehicles today are hemi
head engines & the spark plugs are under the
individual coils, you have to remove first, to get to
the spark plugs.

Not a car person since you were a teen, then I
understand, you haven't keep up with technology

When I see problem with 2006 Mitsu I have no idea
how that got there

This is an open social web site or forum,at home, don't
get paid, don't know anymore than you do, about this site

So what problems if any are you having?
Changing spark plugs won't fix much
They get changed every 3 years or 60,000 miles in the motor

I would guess you have 100,000 miles by now, so the front
O2 Sensors should be changed also

Where are the spark plugs located on a mitsubishi outlander 2004?

spark plugs are under valve cover. Each plug has its own coil pack module. Plug is under this. Be ware, factory plugs may have to be ordered ( $ 15 - 20 ea.) , depending on parts stores in your area. here in Canada, some stores had wrong computer listings for all brands of plugs for this car!! The factory plugs are NKG Iridium, and are longer than conventional plugs!! I'm about to change mine ( 160000 KM's).Looked at plugs cpl mths ago, didnt look too bad. Hope to get another 160 K's from new ones ! Good luck .!
