My 2002 Chevy Blazer starts, then RPMs drop and it stalls. I take the key out, then insert it again, start it again and it runs fine. It does this intermittently - 3 times this week. Today, it did it, but it wouldn't stay running after I took the key out. The only way I could get it to stay running was to keep my foot on the accelerator. After driving for about 10 miles home, and puttin git in park, it stayed running. There is no check engine light, and when I had it at the mechanic earlier this week, there was no code.

I have the same problem. I am currently thinking that the cause is one of the following two. My first guess is that, for some reason the idle is set too low. I don't know how it would have changed, but mine seems to be related to the cold weather change. When I warm the car up (driving for 10+ minutes) the problem usually disappears. Or, secondly, I was thinking there was a short in the steering column because everytime I would turn the steering wheel, the car's dash lights would flash, the RPM, MPH, and all other dials would flick back and forth like they were widshield wipers. Then if I let the car idle it will die. This leads me to believe that there is a short in the dash draining the power from the spark plugs when I let the car idle. Additionally, if I turn the car off in this state it will TOTALLY lose power as in the power locks don't work and I can't even get the key out. If this happens and I let the car warm up in the garage when off, later I can remove the key.
my car 2002 blazer idles good in park ,but 15 minutes of driving, when ever i stop at red light it stalls but it starts back up
Did this fix your problem , I have same problem. My car was stuttering a bit then did ok for a few miles. As I pulled in gas station it died. I have yet to get it started now, I replaced fuel filter hoping it may be problem but no such luck. The engine turns over but just wont start now. Maybe not get the spark needed?
2002 Blazer intermittantly will stall right after starting. I have to hold the accelerator for about 10 minutes until it idles normally (500 - 600 rpm) to go. Most times it starts and runs just fine. I never can tell when or where this stall problem will occur. It could be the first start of the day or it could happen after the 2nd, 3rd or 4th stop/start - I don't know when it will happen. All diagnostic codes of the computer come back normal and it doesn't happen while the service man has it.
I have a 03 chevy blazer and it won't start back up. It was started up to move out the garage and then when we tried to restart it up it won't start! when I turn the key it sounds like it want to start but doesn't.The car only stays started when i keep my foot on gas pedal
