recheck firing order diagram you are using some are incorrect . verify coil and spark plug wires are correctly wired.see link

A Ford shop manual for a 65 thunderbird will have the diagram and you can get one from ebay or a place that sells thunderbird restoration parts.

Look at the base of the back of the carb, should be a 1/2 " tube , some are also on the manifold in same general area...

usually, the vacuum hose routing is on the underside of the hood, but if yours is missing, check on autozone.com . the component locator should be there. if not, try a haynes repair manual .

if you go to your local autozone, o'reily, or advanced auto and tell them what you need..a ported vaccum switch they will sell you one and most of the time you can take that and look at it and tell were on top the motor it goes.. i have a 1990 3.8 good-luck ray
