1.musty odor from vents when using the air ventilation system or the AC.
2.Very noisy wipers especially with light rain.
Both of these problems have been on going since
I have owned the car and the dealer seems to be incapable when it comes to a permanent fix.Car only has 77k and is in good shape otherwise and I would like to keep it if they can be remedied.

There is an issue with the height control sensor on the Prius product. Is it still under warranty? If not, go back to the dealer and tell them that you want scheduled to see the District Service and Parts Operations Manager. When you meet with him/her, explain the situation, and the costs involved. He/she has the ability to grant "goodwill" assistance, and possibly help you out on the repair, with Toyota participating in some of the costs.
Can't hurt to try. More often than not, the DSPOMs are very flexible, and like to promote customer satisfaction.

  • Anonymous Jan 15, 2009

I would still consider making an appointment with the DSPOM. Perhaps he/she may still participate with assisting you, and, in your case, since you have already paid, a refund of some money to you may be possible.

I'd appreciate an upgrade of the rating you gave, I am really trying to help you.

My 98 oddesy oddesy key light flashes car wont start

Whenever this warning or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating that the systems control module has detected a fault, it then disables the system as long as the light is on. You must now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool and "scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for the problem(s)

Have a warning light on the dash of my Toyota Estima Hybrid 2002. It's a red car with an exclamation mark in it. Flashes every now and then, then the engine switches off. Do you know what's ca

There are quite a few things that can cause this light to turn on and yes you are right it has something to do with the hybrid system, unfortunately this going to require that a suitable diagnostic scantool be connected that can communicate with all the onboard computers, this will retrieve any diagnostic codes that are stored, a technician can then start to diagnose the system based on the trouble code information.

Engine check light comes had it checked by dianostic reader it and it said was an open or short cicuit or low fluid level or shift solenoid valve but the car seems to run fine i drive it about 100 mile...

there is a technical service bulletin from toyota on this issue. the dealer needs to run some diagnostics, and there is an extended warranty that cover it, if you are within the age and mileage limits. the fix is to replace the PCM (computer). good luck!

I have a toyota previa gx 1996 orange light seems to stay on

not to many local independent repair shop will have the right equipment to test or do correct diagnostic. same way if you have bone problems, you want to go see the bone specialist not an eye doctors, Engine service light could mean one or many things, I would recommend take it to Toyota Dealer and have them do proper diagnostic, Will cost you 70 to 85 bucks, its lot cheaper than guessing and buying parts and hope that will be the right one. Once they do diagnostic they will tell you what it need and you can do the work replacing the part your self. good luck

Dash board warning lights

This is the tire pressure sensor. It monitors the pressure levels of all the tires. If you checked the pressure and they are all fine, you should take the vehicle to the dealer for a diagnostic of the system. It is actually quite common for this indicator to malfunction, however it is not required for normal vehicle function. Good luck

Dash light not working

The light that your having a concern with all appear to be part of the headlamp switch dimming circuit. Check the radio wiring again and make sure it was not wired into the the incorrect power wire that had to do with dash light circuit.
