Anti freeze on ground when I parked. Leaking from the rear of the engine. Took out antifreeze tank.. nothing leaking,, hoses in tack..
Just asking for some input..
I had the same problem until i changed my water pump,so you might want to get that checked out
When the coolant in the radiator heats up it expands and sends what cannot stay in the radiator to the "antifreeze tank". Lets say your radiator cap has a pressure rating of 16 psi. When the pressure inside of your radiator goes past 16 psi your cap will release the contents of the radiator in to the overflow tank via the small hose between the radiator cap and your "antifreeze tank".
When your radiator cools down a vacuum is created in the radiator and it will then **** the contents of your overflow tank back into the radiator.
Cause: Your overflow tank may have been too full to begin with.
:You may have gotten your car hotter than normal
When your car is cold take off your radiator cap and fill your radiator all of the way up. The after that is done fill your "antifreeze tank" to the "COLD" fill mark. This is so room is left for the overpressure contents to go to the "antifreeze tank" without spilling out of the "antifreeze" tank. After your car cools down it will pull the over pressure contents back into the radiator. This should return the level to the "cold mark on your "antifreeze" tank.

Took off radiator cap, added water, and it poured out from underneath/behind the engine!
