I had the same problem. with my 1999 Chrysler LHS. I took my car to Firestone they looked up the code and found that I had a dead cell within my battery and rusted cables. I had them replace the battery and cable. So far we have no had anymore problems with the car stalling in the middle of driving.I had the same problem. with my 1999 Chrysler LHS. P1684 is The battery has been disconnected within the last 50 starts
If you leave the battery connected the P1684 will go away. the P0406 is the EGR valve is sticking or the sensor that detects how far open it is has failed. You could try taking it out and cleaning it. But I would clear the codes using a code reader that has the ability to "reset" the light.
The P1684 just states the that the battery has been disconnected withing the last 50 starts. As far as the no start, make sure you have you have the timing marks set right. Make sure everything is hooked back up ( I believe the cam sensor is in the timing cover). Problems like this 9 times out of 10 are something basic that has been overlooked so retrace your steps and double check.
n most 90's and up Dodge/Chrysler vehicles, you can try to pull codes from the car's computer as long as you still have a charged battery. Put your key in the ignition, and turn it forward, but not far enough to engage the starter. Turn the key back to the Off position, then forward, back and forward again. In early 90s vehicles, the Check Engine light is going to flash a number of times. Often, code 55 means it is completed. In mid and late 90s vehicles, you will often get a 4 digit code that may help you diagnose problems starting, mostly checking the eletrical, ignition and sensor systems.
1484 The catalyst seems to be overheating!
1684 The battery has been disconnected within the last 50 starts.
from what i have researched the 1684 is a common code that these vehicles give out..i even got one when i checked mine and i had never disconnected the battery before..so i wouldn't pay to much attention to that one...now the other code is a different story
