Car runs rough and vibrates, especially when the SES light is flashing.
A flashing SES light means that you are operating the vehicle under conditions that are DESTROYING your catalytic converters! This is not good.
Diagnostic Test Code (DTC) P0305 is defined by SAE J2012 as "Cylinder 5 Misfire Detected".
DTC P1145 is a "manufacturer-specific code" and is defined by Nissan as "Bank 2 Intake Valve Timing Control Position Sensor - High Or Low Voltage"
So, to put it simply, you need to find out WHY cylinder #5 is misfiring and get it fixed. You also need to diagnose the intake valve timing control position sensor circuits on bank 2 to (1) find out if the voltage is HIGHER or LOWER than specification (since the code itself is not specific about which it is). And (2) find out what is CAUSING the voltage to be out of specification and take the appropriate action correct it.
The p0305 is a misfire on cylinder number 5 the p1145 is a cam timing code look at the misfire on cylinder number 5 first bad plug or coil swap them to a different cylinder if you don't see black carbon tracking lines and see if the code changes to another cylinder p0301 is number 1 p0302 is number 2 p0303 number 3 etc to p0306 number 6

most likely an ignition coil failure.try moving the #3 cyl. ignition coilto another cyl.and see if the miss follows the coil to the other cyl.if so...bad coil.

Have the compression checked....Hook a vacuum guage to the engine...This should give you a good idea of how much life is left in the engine.....

First thing I would do is check oil level. If its low fill to correct level. retry. Low oil level will cause cam actuators to stick & your problem can happen with SES light. Second I would make sure you got updated cam sensors from dealer. El-****-o sensors can cause this problem also. Third off If you can fined out what the codes are in the PCM...... Nissan ignition coils that start to go bad will do this also. Throttle body that wast or lost its programmed learn can do this also.... So please see what codes are stored will help the way to look.
