Hello! when i drive and even when i stand still and turn the steering wheel it makes a knocking sound. The cardealer service did not find a problem but they said that it could be the upper front suspension plate that might be a bit loose or broken. Does any one have the same problem or even know what it could be.

Don't get too happy yet, I work in the industry and have "fixed" this many times. There is a class action lawsuit pending on the brake systems on Tundras from 2000-2007. The undersized rotors and drums overheat and warp. Turn them as many times as you want, the vibration will return as soon as you overheat the brakes. The fix is a retro fit to the "upgraded, oversized" rotors, spindles, drums and backing plates. The cost?
$2000.00 front or rear... $4000.00 for both. Toyota will be nice to you IF you are ONLY letting them service YOUR vehicle at the DEALER. THEN it will be as 50% reduction in cost!
"oh what a feeling to drive....A Toyota!

It very possible that the new power steering pump is defective. I would take it back for a possible warranty issue.
I'm confused about the part where the water pump damaged the power steering pump. The power steering pump doesn't require any cooling from the water pump. The power steering pump only needs the belt to run it properly.

try switching out the coulmn lock and check steering box and linkage
SOURCE: Squeak when turning steering wheel at low speed
Would it possibly be a power steering belt. i would have to hear it but this is most likely your cause of noise. Mike. Rate 100% please.
