I have a 2006 chrysler 300 3.5 v6 with 32k, just recently when I turn the key to start nothing happens with the motor. All guages seem to work. If I turn the key on but not to start and wait 1-2 seconds it starts up normally. In the 1-2 seconds, there is a noise under the hood and when it stops the car starts! The noise seems to come from a module between the air filter and the throttle body. what is that module?
Hello 2006 Chrysler,
If your talking about the component that is located along the air duct run from the air filter to the throttle body it is caled a MAF sensor.

1999 CONCORDE: check the battery terminals probably they are not tight enough...something like that happened to me just the lights turned on and the car seemed to be dead, the battery is still ok since then. I just needed to buy new terminals.

Most probably starter problems. It can be not starter itself some vires coming to it are loose. To locate the starter follow heavy wires coming from battery. This how starter looks like

Check the wires coming to it. Also check the fuse, it might be bad starter relay fuse too.
Please kindly let me know it the information was usefull for you or you still need more info
Good Luck

Sounds like you need a starter, or you have a loose wire somewhere under the hood.

Ok, check the following below--
1. Check the Ignition control Module for its operational value. it may be damaged.
2. Check the coils.
3. Check the plugs and wires.
4. Check the ECM/PCM/ECU(All represent the same device that is commonly known as the engine control computer)
Check these areas thoroughly for faults. I would also advise to replace the fuel filter and fuel pump as well.

if the light only flashed and went out, you have no reconizable issue. happy motoring. the system will sometimes catch little glitches and no electrical system is flawless. it will catch it and flash. if there was a serious issue the would stay illuminated and codes could then be retrieved. if it gives you piece of mind by all means go see your dealer. just keep an eye on things and always be aware of how your vehicle performs. i wouldnt waste the money until the light is illuminated constantly.
Testimonial: "Thank you very much. I like how you went into more detail which really made sense. I haven't had the issue since so I will take your advice. Thanks"
