Find the pcv valve on a dodge neon 1996

Its normally on the valve cover.

Replace the coil pack. Its a know problem with 4 cyl dodge and Chrysler cars.

I have a 99 neon and had to replace it twice in 120000

tune up,cap and rotor or coils.

for d i y a rule of thumb method if you suspect compessio/s ar low ? take the pressure reading of the highest and its cylinder then compare all other cyl/s readings if there is difference of around 15 psi on any cylinder/s (lower readings) then it could be valves on the cylinder head (exhaust valves) considering age/milage of vehicle? either way cyl head has to come off annd recommend you change/all ex valves and reseat others ?

1 Inspect Throttle Position Sensor Faulty or Incorrectly Connected Throttle Position Sensor.
2 Inspect Mass Air Flow Sensor Damaged, Loose, or Faulty Mass Air Flow Sensor or Circuit.
3 Inspect Choke Thermostat Stuck or Improperly Functioning Choke Thermostat.
4 Inspect Air Cleaner Tempature Sensor Damaged or Faulty Air Cleaner Tempature Sensor.
5 Inspect Fuel Filter Clogged or Dirty Fuel Filter.
6 Inspect PCV Valve Plugged or Damaged PCV Valve.
7 Inspect Carburetor Worn, Faulty or Damaged Carburetor.
8 Inspect Fuel Injector Dirty or Worn Fuel Injectors.
9 Inspect Hose (PCV)at Clogged or Collapsed PCV Hoses.
10 Inspect Fuel Pump Faulty Fuel Pump.
11 Inspect Fuel Pump Low Fuel Pressure.

Need to remove the valve body from the transaxle. The solenoid is mounted to the valve body. Follow the 2 wire connector that sticks up vertically out of the top of the trans - it is a round connector.

sounds like some water has got into an electrical plug somewhere. you will have to get an electrician to look at it.
