I have a 1996 ford ranger,you have to shut the passenger door very hard for the dome light to go out,I can't see a traditional button switch like most older vehicles had,where does the problem come from.thanks

The jam switch is located on the latch assymbly in the door. I had this very problem but on the drivers side where there are two switches. I sprayed them with a spray lube and it works perfectly. I did have to remove the door trim to get to it though.
The button isnt getting pushed or there is a very bad connection there hope this helps
