I can't get the car started, i replaced the fuel pump, still no start. i have a fuel filter to install, also, but i was told the problem could be the fuel pressure regulator, so i bought one, but don't know where it is located to replace it. thanks (john)
SOURCE: location of gas filter on infiniti q45
Under hood, passenger side, front engine area, side of strut tower, mounted in fuel line assembly
SOURCE: locating the fuel pressure regulator
its located under the upper intake plenum on the side of the injector metering block
SOURCE: KNOCK SENSOR
What is the symptom? do u have a trouble code for the knock sensor? It is a part that is seldom replaced because of the way it works it has a very low failure rate. The sensor is always screwed into the water jacket of the eng block, look up a picture of the part at an on-line parts store like www.rockauto.com, then you will see what and where is is.

Who said it was the regulator? Why are you chasing fuel related problems? There must be a reason why you are going this direction. Does the red KEY light (looks like a car with a key inside it) come on when you try to start the car? If so, your ignition key isn't registered, and it will never start. Let's start with the basics before we go after the bizarre.
