Audi a6 allroad 2001 2,5tdi 180km fuel pump problem?

Hi!just bought the audi allroad a6 2001 tdi2,5 v6,180km with fuel pump problem?it was very cheap and i new it from begging i can spend even 2000k on fixing it,but was hoping i can be lucky and fix it for couple hundred£,the car starts and run a little bit rough but engine sounds sweet(done only genuine 98000miles)it does smoke quite bit when cold the problem is the throttle pedal doesnt respond, runs only on tickover but sometimes when you press the throttle it can make engine missfireing and revs go up and down itself for about 15 sec?i had various scanners connected with the car there is no problem with reading any data but they cant communicate with fuel pump?it does say there is something wrong with pump but cant communicate with it to check it any further live data?can it be the fuel pump edc on top of the pump?i live in ottershaw, surrey,uk,any help will be very appreciated ,thanks!!!

try blocking off the valve that connects the inlet manifold to the exhaust and see what happens ??? or just disconnect it from the inlet manifold and try that before you remove the pump to have it overhauled ,Yes we do seem a bit short of motor vehicle categorys if not a yank it doesnt exist ,and as for the spelling¿¿¿¿ DA??? pigs tails??? fire wires??looks like we will have to re invade the colonys and teach them proper queens english .The only problem with that is and thats all the english have left the UK ,Its now a third world muslim country .Anyway best of british with it ---from spain

I don't see where your car uses an inertia activated fuel cut off switch. Check the owners manual to verify.
