I have a ml320 year 2000 the BAS/ESP light on. what kind of sensor do i have to change.
It is usually a brake light switch failure. it is located on thr brake pedal bracket. there has been a no charge replacement issued thru the dealers.
Report it to national transporation safety so that they will thoroughly investigate and recall for relay pump after they did to brka light switch. They should give big penaly to Mercedes and this had a lots of problems on all ml suv.
Change the brake light switch first, its on the brake pedal, £9 from mercedes.

The BAS ESP light continually comes on my 2001 model CLK200. It only used to come on occassionly until I put new tyres on the front wheels. Now it comes on nearly all the time from start up. Dealers say this and that and the other and all want their money to 'fix it'. But I don't know who to believe. Car is due its NCT soon. Any ideas?
