SOURCE: Can you please tell me where the speed sensor is

There are several different combination's of engines and transmissions on these trucks. They may be in slightly different locations depending on your configuration.
4x4 GM trucks will be mounted in the tailstock of the transfer case. This is just ahead of where the rear driveshaft enters the case. They are a 2 wire hall effect sensor and most are easy to replace.

SOURCE: How to locate idle air control valve?

It's located on the left rear of throttle body assembly. I looks like a small metal cylinder with two bolts and an oval plug with 4 prongs. Yes you can change it yourself. If you can't find it, go to your local auto parts store and have them show you a picture.

SOURCE: Where is the idle air control valve located in a

You'll need to remove the interior engine cover(dog house).Torx screws for the covers, 2 bolts on floor. and bolts against the fire wall (i use a long extension with a swivel socket at the end). The IAC valve is screwed in to the side of the throttle housing (where the gas pedal hooks up to the engine).I can get a pic if you need it.

Where is the location of the idle air control valve in a 2004 chevy malibu?

If there are no cables coming off throttle body to control throttle there is no Idle Air Control valve. the idle is controlled electronically by the computer. If car is idling rough you can clean throttle body to correct this problem. If you do have cables to control throttle the IAC valve is located right next to throttle body attached to it. Hope this helps

Vehicle inspection, pass primary emissions test but failed high idle test HC ppm 559. standard is 220. man at inspection said was missing at high idle, what can cause that??

First either replace or clean the idle air control valve. You can clean it with a non-chlronated brake cleaner and wire brush. Then take the mass air flow sensor off and do the same but don't use a brush just the cleaner only.

Diagnostics test says idle air control underspeed error? how do i fix 1999 ford explorer

change the idle air control valve.

Idle Air Control (IAC) Valve OPERATION The Idle Air Control (IAC) valve controls the engine idle speed and dashpot functions. The valve is located on the side of the throttle body. This valve allows air, determined by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and controlled by a duty cycle signal, to bypass the throttle plate in order to maintain the proper idle speed. Fig. 1: Typical Idle Air Control (IAC) valve which is mounted to the throttle body - cutaway view shows air bypass direction 89684g16.gif
--- REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. To remove the IAC valve, first disconnect the negative battery cable, then the IAC wire harness plug 89684p03.jpg
Next, remove the two IAC valve attaching bolts . . . 89684p04.jpg
. . . and pull the valve from the intake manifold 89684p05.jpg

  2. Disengage the wiring harness connector from the IAC valve.
  3. Remove the two retaining screws, then remove the IAC valve and discard the old gasket. To install: When installing the valve, always discard the old gasket and install it using a new one 89684p06.jpg

  4. Clean the IAC valve mounting surface on the throttle body of old gasket material.
  5. Using a new gasket, position the IAC valve on the throttle body. Install and tighten the retaining screws to 71-106 inch lbs. (8-12 Nm).

I have a 96 k1500 chevy truck and have 4 codes that pop up on the check engine light randomly. Codes are ckp A signal intermitent, cmp out of range, idle contol rpm to high, O2 bank 1 sensor 1 insuficent...

O2 sensor cross talk bank to bank irregular, change 02 sensor(s).

Sounds like Idle air control sensor bad, All of your codes interact, I would start with 02 sensor.

I would locate a Tech II and run a diagnosis, eliminate guess work.
