Gmc envoy remote key not working

Could be the neutral safety switch if it won't crank in neutral or park, could also be the starter has failed.

Hello David..some GM vehicles have a feature called Twilight Sentinel which provides a couple of minutes of "headlight on" time after turning the vehicle off. (Check your owners manual for this features operating instructions.)

If your headlights never turn off, the failure is most likely in the headlight switch as headlights are wired hot...meaning you can turn them on without the key in ignition.

Sounds like you have a defective alternator.

battery may need replacement
make sure that if or when you do replace your battery, make sure that it has a good amount of cold cranking amps

also, look into using engine oil that isnt as thick...maybe a 0w-30

try car to car boost-battery charger may not be working correctly or set on low amp charge -interior lights and dash may all light but battery may not be strong enough to energize starter have battery tested if battery good than check for power to the starter if power-- starter may be shot can remove also and have tested at most auto stores free if no power battery -wiring-or connection issue would need to test fuse panel-ignition switch and starter solenoid

In your owners manuel, under driver configurable controls it will tell you how to turn them off. If you can't find it I can look it up at work tomorrow. Please let me know. Good Luck

I am not real sure about this but my 2001 Blazer has this option. Right by the headlight switch is a button called the dome over-ride and if this is activated the interior domes will not work. Try that and if this is not the case let me know and I will look farther into it.

You need to look up how to reprogram the Key FOB and it's a simple task, typically turning key on hitting lock button on Fob and repeating process until doors lock. You will have to get into the vehicle to do this of course. You may have to look up the exact process for that particular model.
