Question about 2004 Peugeot 307 SW

The easiest place to find the VIN on your vehicle is right on the lower left corner of your dashboard. You should be able to read the number by looking through your windshield on the driver's side of your car. Check the driver's side door. The VIN might also belocated in the driver's side doorjamb or on the doorpost. I hope these images will help you.

Look at the windscreen from outside of your car. Down below On right hand side of windscreen's edge (wiper should be resting there)there is a small clear glass area (patch window) showing the chassis number of your car.

i have a terrible noise when driving my car its gettin worse i have been told it might be the thrus bearing in clutch or the dif bearing in the gearbox how do i know which one it is without paying twice

usually you should do it for peugeot diesel at 122000 miles along with water pump and the tensioner roller that runs under the cambelt too. But to be on the safe side do it at 100000 and save the fortune.
It took me (DIY job) about 6-8 hours as i wanted to save 450 pounds.

I've got the same problem after ecu update. I took it to the peugeot dealer and within some minutes they reprogrammed it without any cost. My advise Take it to any peugeot dealer and they should remove it without any cost. Argue with them If they ask for costs.

peugeot and citreon cars do bite high generaly, it is hydaulic there is no adjustment. but it also depends on how high it is ?? does it slip if you slightly rest your foot on whilst driving?? they do have a problem with the bearings going through the cover as it is the same bearing as a HDI . but you woud notice this as a different problem. ie noise or vibration on pedal. call me for more info .. paul @ the clutch centre..01527 64440 07790438337
