Hello i have a 2003 range rover hse today my dash board said inactive air suspension and iam wondering if this can b fix what can i do can someone let me know do i have to take the car to a dealer
WRONG wrong and Wrong. This is not a dealer issue and their solution is to scrap the air system for coils or replace every component. Very expensive. You have a bad ride height sensor, most likely right rear. A free program is on the web and the operation cable cost $20. 15 min later you'll be goin up n down again.
long live "the green oval"
How do you get the program from the web??..
OKAY so here the solution 99%. Spend 2500 dollars on the x431 launch from MAC Tools or go to a qualified Land Rover non-dealer repair shop. Blackbox Software also works great and can be purchased for just your vehicle at a much lower cost. GREENDOGMOTORS.US 503.839.5269 we LOVE your Rover!!

This type of fault can only be cleared by the factory scan tool (T4). It is very common to have an air spring start to leak causing fault 101 articulation fault. There are many other faults that may be set once there in a fault present the system will flash (Air Suspension Inactive) . When this is being displayed the only way to clear this away is with (t4). The code will return if no repairs are completed.
I had the Same problem i just replaced the Air Suspension Height Control Unit Problem solved most of the solution people are giving on air suspension inactive are wrong but you have to have a little know how and check your lines for leaks before you buy the part it cost me $340 with shipping and handling
Chuckylee was right had the same problem plus the abs, service engine soon, DSC and brake lights were on to. So i turn the wheel like he said and bingo! it all disappeared and it's be runing fine for three weeks now. I had to come and post this because he saved me $1200 yap. that was the quote from the dealer. Thanks again

Get a kit to replace air suspension...most likely you have compressor problem like many rovers...
SOURCE: hi.. i have a 2004
The EAS can have many different faults that will give the same warning. I have had several air susp problems. First try to disconnect the battery, wait several minutes reconnect then drive car making at least on full circle. If lights remain, air pump (under spare tire ) can be checked, also valve under a cover behind right front wheel, other than these areas, the Testbook diagnostic at dealer will determine if any other parts are source of problem. Unfortunately, with the complexity of the system many other parts Height sensors, etc, etc can also cause the error message. Good Luck.
SOURCE: 2004 Range rover front right suspension air leak
good chance broken line going to that cylinder. it is still pushing air but just not making it all the way there look at the bleeder valve or the fill valve get spray bottle with soapy water spray suspension in the area of the valve look for bubbles.

I AVE 04 RR AND LEFT PASSENGER SIDE AIR SUSPENSION REPLACED IN 12/09 NOW THE ENTIRE FRONT WILL NO RAISE UP! WHA SHOULD I DO???
SOURCE: air suspension inactive
you can try turning the ignition on and off , only to position two ond off with out starting , between 20 - 30 times this sometimes confuses modules and causes them to clear faults , if not i would recomend getting it plugged in , if vehicle is not in warranty go to landrover specialist , much cheaper!!!!!
