Are there vehicles in front of you when this happens? Some vehicles are fitted with a 'Lane Departure' system that warns you if your too close as you pass a parked car or high kerb. Waiting in traffic can also sometimes trigger this warning beep. This feature uses the same sensors as your front parking system. Some vehicles will allow you to turn this off if you go into the vehicles settings.
I think on the Outlander pressing and holding the "ASC OFF" button down for 3 to 5 seconds turns this off. Do the same thing again to turn it back on. Try it and see if it stops the beep the next time you are out in traffic.
The dash lights are incorporated with the parklights. The heater control lights are incoporated with the dash lights. Make sure the dimmer switch is in the full illumination mode. It is possible the park light that is not working is burned out and causing a resistance issue amongst the park light circuitry. Replace the non working park light and retest
If you had work done and it still is not fixed, you need to go back to the place that did the work and complain. A car this new should be under some kind of warranty.

what engine, cars have many different engines.
we open the hood and its obvious, on line, nada. SSDD.
reasons. for stalling, if that is what it does, cant tell from above.
1: fuel starvation. weak fuel pump. or the 60k filter never ever changed.
2: got a MAF sensor on car, its dirty, or bad.
Try this quick fix solution.
Put vehicle in park or neutral, press the switch or turn the dial to 2H, put vehicle in reverse and reverse the vehicle aproximately 10m's or around 30ft.
Now drive vehicle forward, and this should unlock the 4wd mode.
If this doesn't work then your solenoid may need replacing.
i have a jaguar s type 2003 and out of no wear it is writting to be park break fault and the park break does not working what i can do to solve this prob.

Open it with any decompressing software (Winzip, WinRar) to find 14.pdf. Go to page 14-23 to see a diagram of where water pump is. It will also give you instructions on removing and replacing it. there is a wire that is taken from the battery and run in insulation around the the vehicle to ports that uses live connection. the insulation on one of the lines may be broken and it making connection with the body metal of the car, bridging the ground. this is why youa re getting shocked. the problem needs some inspection of the wiring system all around, especially from the music and igntion wires to find the broken insulaton. the shifting of the gears in the =+/- mode is probably due to transmisson lubrication and other mishaps.
I also have a 2009 Outlander Sportronic transmission with a V6 engine.
Bought it this summer ... transmission appeared fine but seemed to automatically slow down the vehicle using the engines compression whenever I let go of the gas pedal.
Now that the cold weather is upon us here in Canada, whenever I accelarate normally (not like a teenager) the transmission takes quite a bit of time to shift into second... If I rev up the engine (quick take off) it seems to help but the shifting of gears is not as smooth as I would expect it (mildly slips and kicks into second)...
The worst is when come to a complete stop ... then the transmission kicks coming down from the higher gears???
I read somewhere that this is because this transmission is a CVT type and is learning my driving habits in order to adjust itself so the vehicle becomes more fuel efficient... Not sure but if the trany is computer controlled then it must be poorly writen program...
I'm taking the car in to the dealer and will write back on the diagnostic they give me ...
