Intermittent starting problem -2004 Porsche Boxster s

Lately I have had intermittent starting problems. Like a weak battery.  Just kind of whirs down. I had my battery checked and it is fine 13 v, my starter checked out fine and my alternator checked out.  If i take key out and fiddle around and wait a few minutes, the car starts fine. I am afraid at some point it will leave me stranded. Any ideas.

It is your ignition switch, you need to replace it, you can do this by removing the plastic casing around the steering column, remove the ignition by taking out all of the bolts and putting a new one in, once you remove the plastic casing you will see how to remove the ingnition, just a few bolts.

Porsche boxster 2004 headlights and side lights front and rear flicker first thing in a morning when auto choke on. Soon as engine dies down lights are fine for the rest of the day. Tried new light switch...

That's an interesting problem. When you say "flicker" are they flickering on and off, or just dimming a bit? My guess is that it's a problem with the voltage regulator on the alternator, or a problem with the alternator. Could also be a weak or bad battery, but I think you would have problems starting the car too. Check your fuse panel too to be sure they're all in there tight. If one is loose and rattling it could cause an issue like you describe.

1998 porsche boxster, battery is dead on car, and

This is a common problem. Your alarm was on when the battery went dead. When the alarm activated, the hood/bonnet opening lever locks to prevent thieves from opening the hood in case the top is down. Some boxsters have a jumper post the pulls out near the fuse box. However, I do not think the 1997-1999s have this post.

Buy a male-to-male cigarette lighter adapter at the auto store. Connect between your car's cigarette lighter socket and the other car's cigarette lighter socket. Do not try to start the ignition or the any other electronics. You should not even need the key in the ignition. You should be able to pop the door locks with the remote and open the bonnet.

1999 Boxster won't start sometimes

Yes. It may have a weak magnet on it. Otherwise it would be the ignition or control module. Try replacing key first.

Battery on a porsche boxster is dead will not start up

If the battery is VERY dead it may take quite a while jump start the car. You may have to run the car with the good battery for five or ten minutes to get enough charge in the old battery to start the car. Other wise a very dead battery will just "soak up" the electricity from the good battery. If your battery was old to begin with it may be unserviceable. I would take the battery out and take it to an auto parts store that can charge and test it. They will usually do this for free.
