SOURCE: limp mode?
It may have a "loss of prime" code that usually follows a service of the fluid and filter. After you're sure the fluid is full at operating temperature, disconnect the battery for a few minutes and reconnect to see if the code resets. I hope this helps.

Dave, The P0700 code is a generic fault code indicating the the TCM (transmission control module) has recognized a problem and the P0755 is the indicated problem. I'd recommend you check your transmission external electrical connector for water intrusion and corrosion at the terminals by disconnecting the connector. If nothing appears wrong, I'd then recommend you drop the lower transmission pan and take a look at the residue deposit that is laying on the bottom of the pan. You should only see a relativily minor amount of grayish, black clutch material residing there. Pay particular attention for a gross amount of this or any large particular material, including any metal, either filings or chunks, or any brass or aluminum. If this checks out to be fairly clean, then I'd recommend you replace that "B" solenoid (2-3 shift solenoid) and have the trans. pan and filter replaced.; I'd also highly recommend you have the trans flushed for anyother particular matter that may reside internally inside the transmission. You'll have to have the codes cleared and the transmission relearned for shift feel, at that point.

the p0750 is a shift solenoid A malfunton, whice in turn will set the p0700 code,if you change the shift solenoid that should get rid of both codes.
SOURCE: OBD codes P0700, P0732, P0733,
P0700....Transmission Control System (MIL Request) P0732....Gear 2 Incorrect Ratio P0733....Gear 3 Incorrect Ratio P0841....Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch 'A' Circuit Range/Performance P0871....Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch "C" Circuit Range/Performance well it would appear so as the fluid pressure sensor switch is controling the gear change as as you have two faulty switches its affecting two gears .now you are also showing a code for not connecting the information to the computer ,so i would check the connection plug on the gearbox in case some of the connections are corroded or burnt inside the connection plug before you go any further ,if they all appear to be ok and have a continuety circuit with a meter then i would be inclined to ask a specialist autogearbox garage for a opinion .Autoboxs are not something we have that many of in europe because they are called granny wagons here and are not popular because when they go wrong it means throwing the car away

CAPACITIES
Automatic transmission, 42LE Initial Fill..........4.6 quarts [1]
automatic transmission, Total Fill
4 speed 42LE..........9.3 quarts
Differential, Front..........1.5 pints [2]
1. With ENG at operating temperature, shift through all gears. Check fluid level in PARK and add fluid as needed.
2. 42LE transaxles built after 7-26-99 fill to 3/8" (9mm) below fill hole.
Hope This Helps.
********Make sure that you use the recommended type flluid ATF+4, as there are several types available. Using the wrong type of fluid will damage your transmission********

Today - I replaced the input/outut sensors on this 2003 Dodge Intrepid 2.7L with the 42LE(A606) transmission. Still getting P0700, then P0732 (2nd gear), P0734(4th gear) and again P0700 pd. The sensors had metal filings and gunk on them too-sooo my guess is there is more **** in the fluid that was in areas I could not flush properly-any suggestions are extremely helpful- my thoughts-solenoid clogged again; valve body needs replacing - could the IACV (idle air control valve) or TPS (throttle position sensor) be bad??? thanks - Craig
Seems no one here has experienced these particular issues before so I'll keep posting my updates and hope someone can use them for future A606/42LE transmission issues. So I drained the fluid again an dropped the pan-removed the valve body to inspect the solenoid, accuymulator o-rings and the trannsmission- looking closer at the VB I noticed the gasket coming out both sides and a crack in the vavlve body housing-(seems it was damaged in shipping) so we're getting a replacement solenoid pack monday-also removed all the accumulators and the LR accumulator from the case--the o-rings on OD, ?UD and 2-4 are ok but were ripped/torn by the port hole - replacing that monday as well - what is the easyist way to install the LR accumulator without that hole ripping the o-rings? Is their some special sleeved tool that is needed to slide the accumulator past the port hole so the o-rings do not get damaged? I believe once these issues are repaired that we should have no more troubles-status update coming monday/tuesday. thanks, craig
As far as I'm concerned there is no dumb question! That's why I'm here :) Thanks for the response; yes I'm using Smart Blend Synthetic Transmission Assembly Lubricant. I think the ECM and TCM are ok? - we've had some gunk in the trans. cooler and torque converter so I think the additioinal flushing 2nd time around as well the replacement solenoid pack and changing "all" the accumulators will have resolved the many codes issue. I've located a very thin yet flexible and firm piece of material that that I use for small bore engines that will allow me to wrap the accumulator piston - put some lubricant on it and lets it slide right up in the bore hole without ripping the o-rings. Hopefully Monday I'll be posting positive results! thanks again! craig
Received new solenoid pack and additional accumulator yesterday; this one was triple packed for shipping so no damage this time. Installed all accumulators/pistons (2-4, OD, UD and LR) using transmission assembly lubricant - valve body installed flawlessly -always remember to set the parking pawl correctly so it engages in the keeper once you have the valve body flush and installed. Adjusted shift cable to remove any slack. Installed pan and 8 quarts ATF+4-test drove like a brand new transmission! Thanks for your suggestion Nicholas!
