Untill then it ran great , still does but still heats up
Did you check the water pump?
it seem to be working fine. a friend of mine says i need a new head mine is cracked .but i don't think that is it .also i have noticed my fan doesn't come on.
I would change it. If that is the only thing that you did not change. I would just to be safe. How is your heat working? Does it blow hot air?
no heat at all anymore
I want to thank you . you have been very helpful.
No heat and overheating is usually a head gasket, but in GM they used Dextron radiator fluid. It was very good at eating away at the heater core. If the heater core is clogged it could cause your car to over heat. Has your heater core ever been replaced if not that would be a good start. I would change the heater core, and water pump. If this does not fix the problem then it is time for a head gasket.
