Daughter has a 1997 Pontiac Sunfire SE with a 2.2 (4cyl) Instrument warning lights ie; abs, brake, seatbelt, antitheft, headlight both lowbeam and hibeam all begin flashing wildly and also the tach drops in and out. Could this be a PCM or would this most likely be in the instrument cluster. The ground checks out and all connections look tight.

I had the same problem. Goodwrench looked at my car for 2 hours could not figure it out. Then they unpluged the body control module and plugged it back in and presto, problem solved.

There will be a fuse for you dash lights and they are just light bulbs in the back. Is it just your odometer light that went out or the whole dash cluster? In all likeliness it's probably just the bulb that burned out.

Hello oldiro: My name is Roger and I can help. From under the vehicle look up between the transmission and the side of the block. Mid motor above the pan rail there is a bolted in sensor. This should be the crank sensor. It will have two wires plugged in to it. Please rate this answer as this lets us know you received the information you asked for.
