SOURCE: Faulty Fan Heater - The main vents are just blowing out cold air.

Go to your idrive., climate the vent settings. you will see a person along with vent areas on the side.
If this persons color is blue it blows cold air so turn the dial for vent closest to that person until the
color changes red then hot air comes out on the vents for driver and passenger. Then let me know.

SOURCE: Nissan Altima no cool air blowing or hot air blowing

Hi!
It appears we have an Air lock scenario and you will need to perform a system Bleed.
Park the vehicle on level ground, when cold remove coolant filler cap, start engine and leave to idle, turn heater on full and blower to max. When engine reaches operating temperature watch and listen near coolant filler, keep clear as gurgling and hopefully a boil over should occur. Top up with very warm coolant and wait as it may do it again.
Check for heat inside vehicle if warm replace coolant cap but keep an eye on temperature gauge as the ~Air lock may have moved on from heater matrix/core so proceedure needs to be carried out again from COLD.

SOURCE: The rear heater does not generate heat - only cold air in vents

I thought I had same problem . . . . until you turn the overhead switch completely to the right which I believe actually trips it to heat mode. hope this helps. Then back to the left copletely for air.

SOURCE: Why doesn't the heater blow hot air?

If your "Check Engine" or "Service Engine Soon" light is on, you need to have that checked out first.
If not, the next thing you should check is your engine coolant level. (Antifreeze) If the coolant level is low, the engine coolant does not circulate through the heater core and the the heater doesn't work. The coolant level could be low for a number of reasons including a leaky hose, water pump, or head gasket. In any case, if it is found to be low, you need to find out why.
If the coolant level is OK then the thermostat function needs to be checked to make sure that the engine is reaching operating temperature.
If all of the above checks out OK, then the heater control valve and/or the blend air door in the HVAC housing needs to be checked for proper operation. (NOTE: some cars are not equipped with a heater control valve)

In my 1998 Honda Accord Lx the hot air does not come out of the heater2_bing.gif vents in the floor, the same is true for cold air in the middle vents on the dash. The side vents on the dash work fine.

Are the hoses hot to the touch?
If not, then check your cooling system for either air-pockets or blockages.
If the main radiator is also not hot when running and if the temperature gauge is reading high, then change your thermostat.

If, as you say both hoses are the same temp and hot to the touch, then is the interior blower motor turning?
Have you checked the condition of any interior cabin air filter?
Also check that the heater matrix core hasn't been clocked up with dirty/fir/fluff etc.

Hyundai Coupe SFX 96 Model Battery Voltage Leak

A mechanic would disconnect the battery and check each circuit for a voltage draw. You may need a shop manual to get the wiring diagrams needed to check everything. It could be anything from a stuck relay to a problem in the computer.
