I have a 96GMC ,1500,5,7 v-8,truck, my light wont go off ,did a complete tune-up and changed the fuel pump but it still stays on some one said to change the 2,o2_sensors before jumping in to do the injectors witch will cost ,a bunch;(,,any ideas?

SOURCE: shuts off while driving. no fuel pressure. pcm fuse blows/ fuel pump relay inserted.

Sounds like the fuel pump is shorted.

It could be electric fuel pump stall. The pump isn't pumping fuel fast enough. This model may have a inline fuel filter before the fuel pump as well that might need replacing.

Spray salty water on your ignition components. they may ARC or cause worse missfire.(salty water is a better cunductor than regular water) these have high failure rates on caps rotors, wires for whatever reason. the O2 sensor may be a result of the missfire. if you want to swap around some wires to see if the missfire follows you could do that as well. if it follows you need wires. if it stays i would go with cap and rotor.

have it tested using a manual gage if still low then main baring ore most likely bad that would mean a over hall if is really low and bearings bad should be making rattle noise when started up first few seconds
