I don't think it is the brakes as I have had both front and back brakes replaced within the last month. The noise began after I made a deep left turn at a drive through. The noise occurs while driving; not braking. My transmission on this car abruptly failed and was replaced by Nissan just two weeks ago. I am due for my 60K maintenance also.I don't think it is the brakes as I have had both front and back brakes replaced within the last month. Here's a video on the same model/make with something that started as a noise. Turns out there are two different axles with the difference being the locking ring on the inboard end. Dodge Dakota Front Axle Noise
