In the morning only, truck won't start untill ticking stops under hood (ticking from Fuel pump relay &starter relay) after first start the truck runs fine all day. Sometimesa ticking stops in 15 min others 2-3 hrs the colder it is the longer it takes. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks John
There is probably a strainer type filter in tank, like every other unit I've seen, but I can't believe you don't have one between tank & engine. Take a look along the frame rails under the truck. If you follow the path of the fuel lines from the tank, my guess is you'll find one attached to frame. Most of the cars I've worked on lately are usually just ahead of the passenger side rear wheel, bolted to frame.

I was told the fuel filter is built into the fuel pump on this model. I was going to buy one and change it.
I have the same problem but with the fuel pump and auto shutdown relays and its driving me nutz please email me [email protected]
I have the same problem with my 92 dodge 150. And I've already replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, and ATS/fuel relay
When was fuel filter last changed?
