I have a 1995 Nissan Altima and the brake lights recently stopped working. I have replaced both lamps as well as fuses and checked the brake switch anything more I need to try?
Make sure the button is working, it may need to be replaced. with your foot off the brake peddle, it is on upper part of brake peddle arm. when you let off brake peddle it pushes button in to shut lights off. it may just be stuck in, spray a little lubracant on it if it's stuck and push in manually several times to loosen.
Well from what i have been reading on is that it could also be a blowen light or inproper lights b/c they need to be a dual filament bulb if there is a single one put in, it could connect both the terminals and turn the lights on thought this might help saying i am in the same bout as you lol .
