I can get you a diagram on monday but it goes from the alternator to the power steering pump then around the tensioner pulley then around the crank pulley then to the a/c compressor then pull on the tensioner to give you some slack and slip it on the waterpump.I hope that helps.Let me know if you still need the diagram

2004 Rav 4 has a timing belt and not a chain and it can last you about 160k's depending how it was used but replacing it at 100 is a safe margin.Factory installed belts are due for a change at 140k's.
loosen all the bolts/nuts on the alternator, the just slip the belt over the pulleys, wedge something(screwdriver) behind the alternator to tighten belt, then do up the alternator adjuster bolt then the holding bolts.run engine, turn off then check tightness of belt, not too tight. 1/2 inch flex on longest length between pulleys.

SOMETIMES THE DIAGRAM IS ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE HOOD. OR ON THE WHEEL WELLS INSIDE THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. CHECK UNDER THE HOOD ANYWHERE A STICKER COULD BE. IT MIGHT ALSO BE IN THE OWNERS MANUAL.
