Recirculating Door We have a 2001 Dakota Quad Cab and it has started allowing air to come through the air vents when the truck is moving. Although the switch is set to off air still flows through the vents as the truck is traveling. I believe the recirculation door is a fault but I don't know how to access it, so I can repair the door. Any help would be great

SOURCE: 2000 dodge dakota quad cab 4x4 v8 air conditioning

Sounds like you are losing too much vacuum under acceleration. Possibly a partially stopped up converter, or bad intake manifold gasket. Possibly a bad door actuator in the heater box also, and the loss of power would be a seperate issue.

SOURCE: my check engine light came on 2003 dodge dakota

This code is normally caused by a loose gas cap or a bad EGR valve. It is the code for the evap system on your truck. You can go to autozone and they will clear the code for you if you can not do it yourself. You may need to replace the gas cap and or the EGR valve if the code comes back up, these are normally one time things due to the cap not being fully tightened.

SOURCE: Where is the thermostat housing located on the

The thermostat housing is on the front right side of the engine (passenger side) - you have to remove the lower radiator hose to access it... it is at lower right side (front) of engine.

SOURCE: Air flow out of A/C (HVAC) seems to be partially

One of the Actuators for the doors inside your dash that controls and diverts air might not be working correctly. You may have to either replace the Actuator or Replace the A/C Heater Control. Your vehicle does not come with a Cabin Air Filter.

SOURCE: how to replace sway bar end links on 2005 dakota

I just replaced 2 front stabilizer links and it was easy. You have to jack up both wheels make sure you take off both front tires makes it easier too work on take the top nut off on link by stabilizer bar first if you break it off dont worry its ok then take off bottom nut from the frame where the link goes thru put in new link tighten bottom nut first then tighten top nut dont over tighten top nut to much just enough that the threaded shaft is about a 1 1/4 inches above the nut do the same on the other side.

Heater only blows out defrost

The defrost position is the default for safety so that air always blows on the windshield in case of frost.
The most common problem is a faulty blend door under the dash.
In most cases the door must be calibrated with a scan tool if you replace it.

My 1993 dodge dakota sports is leaking water into the cab on the passenger side its not threw the air vents and my ac fuse blows out evertime it happens

The only way water can get into the cab is either a blocked air vent drain, leaking windscreen seal or rubber, damaged panel joint, badly sealing wiper arm. badly sealing door. Try and follow a possible trail. Water will move great distances before dropping so the leak could be far from the results.

Sounds like either a linkage rod came off or the interior handle is broken. either way you have to take the interrior door panal off to see which it is.

2001 Dodge Dakota 4WD Quad Cab: engine RPM's too high/jumpy

could be a lot of things. I personally would start with your vacuum lines... check for a leak somewhere. You can do that by spraying carb cleaner (if motor tries to die, you found your leak), or it could be a sensor, likely idle air control, mas air, etc.)
