The car runs great. the check engine light is on. the trouble code reads P0443,, indicating the circuit is bad. Is there a diagram showing the complete circuit?
This code is related more to an electrical condition...
there is a series of tests to do to track this one down.
P0443-EVAP PURGE SOLENOID CIRCUIT
When Monitored: The ignition on or engine running. Battery voltage greater than 10
volts.
Set Condition: The PCM will set a trouble code if the actual state of the solenoid does not
match the intended state.
Testimonial: "Thank you Gil !!! it seems by your answer it appears to be a wiring issue and not the solenoid. i will try to track it down."
SOURCE: keep getting p0443 code and check engine light
might need to replace the purge selonoid valve
SOURCE: locating evap control valve circuit
This is the evap purge control circuit....proper diag requires alot of componet testing and equipment.... you might try replacing the evap control valve ( usually on the firewall area), and hope it was it...or get it properly diag at your dealer/shop..no simple answer/fix.......GL
SOURCE: I have a 2004 Dodge Intrepid ---- It is showing 3 Error Codes
ok means that you dont have spark plug explotion on 1 or more cylinders and that means miss fire.
Disconnect the battery like 20 or 30 min and then connect the battery again and start the car, then drive and scan again, if you have same code you can do this:
1. take off your O2 sensor and test check if there is wrong change it because maybe that is the problem of all!
2. take off your spark plugs and put new ones.
if not work... do this.
reset your ecu (like I say before)
take your ignition coil #6 and change the place with another one on the same head side.
assambly and go to test if the DTC change like hummm example: Ignition coil #4 then or any other, then you know that the problem is your ignition coil.
if not work this... do this..
take off your ignition coil from the spark plug but still plug to the harnes (the ignition that is failing) and then take the ignition coil closer to Ground (another metal) and then start the car you need to see how the elctricity (not know how to say) "energy" jumps from the coil to the graund many times
if not are any energy jump you need to do this...
check the harnes like maybe that is the problem the question here is do you have voltage in the harness?
hope this help you.
SOURCE: check engine code "P0446 Evap Control System Vent Control Circ"
Unfortunately, this code has nothing to do with the gas cap....
A code P0446 could mean one or more of the following has happened:
Here are some things you could try to fix it:
EVAP Purge Solenoid Circuit Fault
Possible Causes:
EVAP purge solenoid control circuit open or shorted to ground.EVAP purge solenoid power circuit open.EVAP purge solenoid is damaged or it has failed.PCM has failed.
