Rear air conditioner does,t work no fan
SOURCE: Rear a/c not blowing cold, front works fine.
you may not have enough refrigerant. a low charge can cause the rear in this dual system to not work for beans. charge with a can of uv and find the leak. fix the leak. evac the system and recharge. i think you take 4 lbs, but check the accumulator sticker. you may want to just change the accum at the same time.

Remove two trim panels from just inside back window and just inside rear side door passenger side. They run down from the head liner. Remove seat belt bolt ( TORX HEAD ) also. Remove lower half of trim from just inside rear side door. You should see screws holding weel cover in place. The top under glass just lifts up slightly to remove entire cover. Just a few more screws and you can hinge the top cover of the duct and fan. You will now see the top half of the rear condenser and if you look down beside it you will see the expansion valve. This about as close as you will get to changing the valve though because the freon lines running to the condenser will be stuck so solidly you would have to destroy the lines on either side of the nut to seperate them. You cannot reach the valve without lifting the condenser from its tray and you cannot lift the condenser without removing the lines from it!!! Good luck!!!
SOURCE: 2003 suburban rear air works fine but won't blow heat.
This problem is caused by what is called the air temp control blend door, either the door is sticking in the duct or the electric actuator that moves it is defective, the actuator is the common part that fails, the bad news is the dash assembly must be removed to replace the parts.

It sounds simple enough that you need to recharge your A/C unit. They can stop functioning properly after winter's end especially if they were not used. You should be able to get a recharge kit from your local auto parts store. Your Suburban should use the newer R142a refrigerant.
SOURCE: Bad Clutch Fan? Rear ac/heat don't work front only works on 4
The fan clutch isnt engaged at all times, therefore it may be normal to hold it in place (not recommended). On these trailblazer's 4.2L engine the fan clutch is electronically controlled. Usually when this vehicle's fan clutch malfunctions, there is a random ticking noise while idling or at a stop, also the "service engine soon" may turn on. As for the the fan speed problem, this may be a faulty blower resistor malf (typical) or climate control unit may be faulty. Hopefully this helps!!
