Kia Sephia 5 spd won't shift gears

My 2000 Kia Sephia 5 spd wouldn't shift into gears while running. The clutch went to the floor with no resistance. I replaced the clutch master cylinder first and tried bleeding the lines; it did not fix it. The lines did not bleed. I just replaced the clutch slave cylinder and tried to bleed the lines and they did not bleed. The brake fluid reservoir is between MIN and MAX. What the hell?

You need to bleed the lines with a special tool, contact the dealer on this.

If you're finding it difficult to service/repair your car, get one of those online manuals. You'll not have to wait for others to answer, or rely on mechanics and all. Plus i know a website that sells very cheap but very very good manuals online, without expiry

Kia sephia will start but when lights turned on door locks and starter motor engage?

you have wires reversed at the fuse block under hood, matbe had to replace sone of the maxi fuse's that bolt in?? the clutch is probable bad there is a test motor running emergency brake on then push clutch pedal in and try 1st gear and keep pedal down during this, go 1st gear the to reverse if wont go smoothly or grinds then most likly clutch throwout bearing is bad, maybe clutch cable is streched or not adjusted properly if it is mechanical clutch, depends on year and engine size

Kia Gear shifter lock

If its a floor shifter there is a plunger under the floor shifter cover. Do u hear a click when u step on the brake pedel? That release the plunger to let u shift the car into gear.

My car will not go into gear unless its started and already in gear. Ill pull it outta gear and won't go back in while running.

Your transaxle will have to come out & new parts installed,
like synchro rings

You should be able to push in the clutch & shift thru all
gears nice & smooth, with no engine running.

That said I wouldn't rule out clutch issues also, but not
for the shifting issues.

2000 mazda 626 5 speed manual transmission is stuck in a gear and won't shift out

A clutch problem will not interfere with gear selection when the engine is off and the car stationary.

It does seem like you have a gearbox or gear linkage trouble.

How to replace cluctch in 1998 kia sephia

Any standard shift clutch requires removing the
entire transaxle on most vehicles & rear drive trans
on others

You can figure $700 to $1000 on most repairs

The flywheel needs to be resurfaced
That isn't always done, but should be
It should also be balanced & never is
The clutch assy should be balanced & never is
The clutch slave cylinder & throw out brg get replaced

So you see a lot of expense

I have a 99 Kia Sephia and it will not move in any gear the clutch seems to be engaging and disengaging but the transmission will not spin the wheels in any gear

It sounds like a bad clutch. It is the clutch if you can change gears with the clutch out and the engine running.
