Hi, i currently have a mercedes E200 K 2002 model, and the engine management light keeps coming on, the normal genuine oxygen sensors are put back in after having the non genuine, and the alloy inter cooler has been flushed clean but the very next day the light comes back on, my local dealer resets the light and faults, but it comes up as unknown fault but the light turns off, and the next day the light is back on, does anyone know what it could be??? please bare in mind oxygen sensors had been changed but no difference and also interooler has been flushed clean
your co-operation will be thanked
SOURCE: how to tackle transmission oil change on '97 Mercedes E200
Hello, Check the kickdown switch that is located on the floor below accelerator pedal. Pull the carpet back under the pedal and you will see a black switch with a 2 pin connector. Disconnect the switch and see if this helps. If it does help, your kickdown switch is stuck in the down position and needs replacement. This will cause it not to shift until you are at a high RPM.
If you find this information to be correct would you please enter a "fixya" rating.
Thanks, Gator241

If this is a diesel model you may have a glow plug that needs replacing

You can take the car back to Mercedes Benz they should reset the oil change light and get all the radio codes for you for free. They don't suppose to charge you!!!!

Your outside temperature sensor is located in the front bumper behind the front license or number plate bracket. It is a silver shaft about the diameter of a pen about 1 1/2 inches long with a connecting wire
