Passenger side seat belt buckle broken - can't find OEM replacemt

GM stores tell me that GM no longer stocks them and all the after market vendors have is an off beat center button release in the wrong color. Need the passenger side Female buckle belt with the release button on the front side of the buckle in the OEM light gray color only.

That was the first place I checked after the GM dealer. The GM dealer said wrecking yards would be difficult due to liability issues. I finally found one that wasn't a perfect match by talking to a local wrecking yard who had networking capability with a wrecking yard the was 100 miles away that specialized in my model of pickup truck. The belt was so dirty and greasy that one couldn't determine the exact color until I got it cleaned and scrubbed. Ended up costing me $100 with shipping.

    Thanks for the info, anyway.

Passengers side seat belt warning light blinks all the time

The contact wires inside the seat belt mechanism are no 'lllonger functioning correctly, if it's bothersome take it to a service shop to be repaired or you can remove the fuse to that seat belt side for passenger seat belt and it will no longer fllash

Disable passenger seatbelt chime

Hi Candy, I'm glad to help!

Candy, I'm not sure why you want to disable the pass seat belt chime, maybe its going off even with no one in the seat. BUT, the only way to stop it would be to plug the seat belt into the buckle. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Candy

Light is on the dashboard. looks like a person sitting in a seat with a seatbelt on , and a round circle thing like a bll, the view is from the side. what does this mean?

It is telling you that either your seat belt is not on or your passengers is not on. There is a sensor inside the seat belt buckle that tells the car you are wearing it. If the passenger seat senses the weight of a person (or big dog) and they don't have the buckle on then the light will come on. If the seat belts are both buckled in then you must have a bad sensor on the buckle.

How does the rear seat center seat belt work???

The rear seatbelt of the forester was a bit of a puzzle for me as well when we first got ours. The buckle is really in two parts. The first part anchors the strap, and the second part secures the occupant.

Check if your belt is fully retracted, look in the inertia reel housing at the roof in the boot of the vehicle. Remove it passing the end through the 'loop' in the backrest Make sure that you have the two buckle parts I referred to earlier. There should be an odd looking buckle fixed at the end of the belt, and the more familiar buckle that slides up and down the belt. The end buckle goes into the receptacle vertically below the loop between the centre and window passenger and achors the belt in place. This buckle should not be normally released once used regularly. Once the centre passenger is in place, use the sliding buckle as you would for any other seatbelt and fasten on the receptacle on the other side to secure.

Use same procedure for fixing a car seat or booster, etc.

My seat belt light is on when i have the seat belt on in toyota camry 1995

sensor may be stuck inside your seatbelt. spray a lube inside it and put it together and take it apart 5 or 6 times just to get it to loosen. do this to the passenger side as well. if this doesnt work then some cars have a sensor built into the seat that tells the car you have a passenger that isnt buckled. its possible that this sensor is stuck. should be located under seat but can be checked by simply buckling the passenger seat belt and seeing if the light goes out.

2004 TrailBlazer: seat belt of passenger side can not pull out in tr...

I'm having the same problem. I unbolted the nut at the bottom of the seat and it allowed it to work again ... for the time being. I'm attempting to remove the 'assembly' and perhaps find a broken part, but at the present time, I can't tell how to get it out of the seat-back. The dealer says parts are not available for it, so I'm trying to locate a used one in a junk yard or buy one from an after-market supplier. [email protected]
