Need firing order for a 1999 saturn sl coupe

something in the monitoring system is turning it on. if you turn it off it will just come back on. have someone put an analyzer on it and figure out what is wrong with it. often times bad O2 sensor on saturns.

I hope you haven't taken all the wires off and now trying to figure out how they went? You need to do one at a time, match up the length and plug it in. If you took them off, you will need the firing order, and then figure out the coil pac. All cars engines have the number one cylinder towards the front most part of the engine, whether right or left side, front is No. 1. The firing order is stamped into the engine block, probably where you can't see it. But you can find it on line easy enough, and the coil pac usually starts at 1,2,, then 3,4,, then 5,6, etc, 2 plugs per coil, You will have to find that on line also. then just find the closest match in length and plug them in, you might end up moving one or 2 because of the length, but that's ok. Hope this helps.

looked ok you took the injectors out of the car and took them in Cam shaft pitction senser, coil

Service engine light is telling you there is a problem, You can go to a local auto parts store like advanced auto parts or autozone, and they offer free code reading and they can turn off the light.

Or if you would like to know what the problem is you can take it into a repair facility

you have a bad head gasket or a cracked head better off to replace engine with a lower mileage motor its better to do and maybe cheaper.the reason i say this is because when you rebuild the top end the lower end becomes the next victim when put up against a newly rebuilt top end.

Firing order is 1-3-4-2 with #1 closest to the passenger side of the car.

#1 and #4 fire off the passenger side coil, and #2 and #3 connect to the driver side coil.

try disconnect terminal of the battery and wait 15-20 seconds

mcdevito75 here, You can check the cold idle switch or if equipt the idle speed motor, Where they are exactly is ?? try to contact a Saturn Dealership or auto parts store.

you need to take it to a auto parts or service facility to have the code checked (read ) so you know what the vehicle thinks is wrong with itself :)
