SOURCE: 2003 ACURA TL VEHICLE MAKES CKICKING SOUND WHEN KEY IS TURNED,

that pretty much sounds like a bad battery, next time its jumped, autozone or any other shop like that will usually test the battery for free. if you have a volt meter, measure the voltage on the battery with the vehicle on and off. vehicle running should have about 14.4 volts, and off 12.6 at a full charge. if there is low voltage at the battery after a full charge, its most likely the battery.

SOURCE: My 2003 Buick Regal makes a load whinning sound

The first thing to check would be the power steering fluid level. Low power steering fluid would cause a groaning noise when turning the wheel at low speeds. If it's low, top it off with the correct fluid (check the owners manual). Check around the pump and steering rack for a power steering leak as well.

SOURCE: When trying to start the car it makes a whinning

This sounds like the starter is not engaging. I would suggest taking the starter off and taking it to an auto parts store to have it tested. I think that you will find that your starter Bendix is bad.

Cause of whinning noise when trying to start xg350 motor does not turn over. Not a clicking sound but a high pitched whinning sound.

1) Most likely.
Your starter is an electric motor, with a gear on one end.
Mounted on that same end is a part called a "Bendix" or an "overrunning clutch".
When that just mentioned part fails, the starter will not engage the flywheel, and you will get the noise of which you spoke.
2) Less likely.
If your timing belt fails, he engine will turn over at a high rate of speed, but it will not start.
God bless your efforts.

Nissan pathfinder 1995 model SUV, when i try to start it its making a whinning noise then i hear a hard clucking sound and the whinning goes away without the car starting

Does the engine crank at all ?
The low whine could be the starter turning but not engaging the flywheel.
The clunk could be when the bendix gear on the starter makes contact with the flywheel.
If the starter does not have enough voltage, the solenoid or bendix may not engage. Even tho you replaced both the starter and battery, there could be a problem with the cables or the ground connection.

1994gmc won't start5.7litre thortlebody inj. seems like no fuel enteringengine. how can you tell if fuel pump is working.or engine is getting fuel.

When you put the key in the ignition and turn it until the dash lights come on then you should hear a noise coming from the gas tank and it should make a noise for like 4 seconds. if you dont hear it then you may wanna check the fuse and the relay. Good luck

Acts like it is out of fuel, I replaced the fuel filter and it ran good for a few miles then sputterd and died again and now wont start

Sound like your fuel pump went out. Turn the key to on postion and see if you can hear it turn on in the gas tank. It will be a whinning sound in the gas tank. If nothing it is you fuel pump need to be replaced.

I have a 1998 GMC Jimmy. Cranks, but won`t start. Fuel is full. Engine stopped while driving. Battery light came on. Any suggestions?

the battery indicator light usually comes on after a lose of power. Sounds to me like either bad gas, clogged fuel filter or a bad fuel pump. Easiest way to check this is have someone turn the key while you stand at rear side of vehicle and listen for the whinning noise a functioning fuel pump makes as it pressurizes the system.

P.S you dont have to start vehicle to check pump. only requires turning the key to the on position. Good Luck

No engine light car does not start engine light comes on car star

when you initially turn on your car it does a system diognostic, the engine light comming on then shutting off is just telling you that your ecu is responding so dont worry about that, does it turn over? if it does check for spark, also check if when you turn the key to on position someone listening to your gastank hears a whinning sound telling you the fuel pump is being turned on and working. if missing one go on from there, comment back and we will diagnose this thing.
