Re: 1984 bronco 2-runs 15 min shuts down wont start again...
If the fuel filter is dirty it will settle when you turn the truck off. When it runs for a few minutes the debris in the filter will get sucked into the screen and stop the fuel from getting through. If it was a starter or coil, it would not start at all.

is the flywheel worn out or just the ring gear, (starter gear)
first remove the trans mission then unbolt the flywheel, and replace
if only replacing the starter ring gear, use a soft hammer and bump it as you rotate the flywheel until it comes off, if the back side looks good heat it in the oven to 350 degrees and with gloves on run out and put it on the flywheel, it will go on easily, just hold it all the way on against the edge it rests on and turn it about 1/3 turn and hold for about 15 seconds and that's it, it will not come off unless you beat it off again
Big wire from positive from battery goes to big stud facing the battery. Big wire to starter goes on other big stud. Little wire or wires go to little post. If you have 2 little posts they are labeled I (ignition) & S (starter). If you put on wrong little post it wont engage starter when you turn key to start. Just connect it to the other then it will engage starter when you turn the key to start.
could be the pickup coil in the distributor they go bad fairly often
pickup coil resistance should be 500 to 1500 ohms between the two leads.also move vac advance plate ohms should not change.there should be infinite ohms [no continuety] between either of the leads and ground
sounds like the auto choke isnt turning itself off properly but to be totally honest i would need this to happen when i test drive it to diagnose it correctly .
You will need to do your testing while the vehicle is in failure to start mode.Check wether the coil is recieving 12v and pour a little fuel down carb to see if it wants to run.If pouring a little fuel down carb makes the car try to fire up you probably have a fuel pump issue. If it doesnt try to fire you have an ignition problem.Hope you get it sorted and good luck.
